November 22nd from 15.45 – 17.00 Dr. Lotta Stenman will take part in a session entitled on the latest Research & Development supporting weight wellness through innovative ingredients.  She will reveal new developments and insights on probiotics and prebiotics for weight management as part of the session chaired by Professor Jason Halford, Head of the Department of Psychological Sciences, University of Liverpool

November 23rd from 14.00 – 15.30 Dr. Lotta Stenman will be part of the Effective strategies to tackle obesity stream, chaired by Professor Judy Buttriss, Director General, British Nutrition Foundation.  Her talk will focus on Gut microbiota - targeted solutions for weight management: probiotics and prebiotics.

Dr. Lotta Stenman, Senior Scientist at DuPont Nutrition and Health, is responsible for health efficacy research activities related to probiotics and metabolic health. She successfully coordinated the recently finished clinical study on B420 and Litesse® Ultra on control of body fat mass.

Dr. Stenman has a background in nutrition, physiology and pharmacology, and conducted her PhD in the direction of Professor Riitta Korpela at the University of Helsinki on bile acids and gut permeability in diet-induced obese mice. She has also worked in the nutrition research unit at Valio and the obesity research unit of the Hospital District of Helsinki and Uusimaa, led by Professor Aila Rissanen.
