DuPont Nutrition & Health has the pleasure to announce the participation in the 21st edition of Food Ingredients South America, the most important event in the region for the Food Industry. 

For this great event, we will bring many new features to the food, beverage and dietary supplements segments.

  • August 22 – 16:20 – 16:50: The challenge of sodium reduction: how to ensure the quality of meat products over the shelf life? Sodium reduction has been a commitment of the Meat Industry in recent years. However, the consequences of reducing sodium have brought major technological challenges. DuPont Nutrition & Health will bring and discuss alternatives to reduce the water activity, different ways to improve texture and water retention capacity, and talk about natural ingredients to ensure the preservation of meat products. Speakers: Gisele Kottwitz –DuPont Nutrition & Health Application Specialist and e Glauco Pinto –DuPont Nutrition & Health Marketing Manager for South America.


  • August 23 – 16:20 – 16:50: Sugar - Dissolving the problem - history and trends. How sugar became a villain and its replacement a major challenge for the Food Industry? How are changes in consumer lifestyles and regulatory matters driving the growth of sugar substitutes in the region? What are the most commonly used substitutes? How do they interfere with food?   • August 23 – 16:55 – 17:25: The Protein Boom - What Are Consumers Looking For? What do you know about this macronutrient? Mothers and grandmothers have always said, "protein makes you grow." Protein is an important macronutrient bringing many benefits in all stages of life, from childhood growth and development to ageing. We will study in this lecture how the consumer's behavior and demand for protein are at this moment. Are they ingesting the recommended amounts at each stage of life? Do they recognize its benefits? Do they know what types of proteins exist? Speakers: Cintia Nishiyama - DuPont Nutrition & Health Marketing Manager for South America.


  • August 24 – 16:20 – 16:50: Low sat and No trans: response to the current scenario & innovative solutions for the Food Industry. Aligned with the lifestyle of consumers, the importance of fat in food and the evolution of technology in food production becomes a challenge to professionals in the search for innovative solutions that meet the requirements of saturated and trans fats levels in food. Bringing the experience with the consumers and ingredients know-how, DuPont presents the low-saturated / no trans opportunities to add value to the business when it comes to the market challenges.
