DuPont Nutrition & Health Presents Effective Ingredients for Top Health Trends at VitaFoods Europe

DuPont Nutrition & Health will spotlight today’s leading health trends to illustrate the beneficial effects and consumer appeal of its recently expanded nutritional portfolio at VitaFoods Europe 2013.

All listed by New Nutrition Business in the top 10 trends for 2013, senior nutrition, digestive health, immune health and weight management will frame the DuPont offer of health-promoting ingredients for food, beverages and dietary supplements.

Presenting the new soya proteins
A fiber-protein bar targeting digestive health will be among the samples available to demonstrate the many application possibilities supported by DuPont. The bar will feature products from the range of flexible soya proteins that joined the portfolio last year when DuPont acquired full ownership of Solae.

DuPont will also showcase HOWARU® premium probiotics and the prebiotic fibre Litesse® polydextrose against the backdrop of positive findings from the latest clinical studies.

Benefits for immune health and weight management
One such study established that dietary supplementation with HOWARU® Protect significantly reduced cold and flu symptoms in otherwise healthy, active adults. This supports previous documentation of the probiotic’s beneficial effect on immune health.

In two weight management studies, Litesse® polydextrose displayed the potential to reduce food intake and promote appetite control.
