History
The history of Danisco in Mexico started when Tecoman's Pectin Plant was partly acquired by Danisco Denmark in 1981. Two years later Danisco acquired the remaining part of the shares and the company became a 100% owned subsidiary. The headquarters of the Mexican operations were located in Guadalajara due to the proximity to the plant. In 1988, a small sales office was established in Mexico City for the commercial activities of imported products from other Danisco units in the Mexican market, particularly within the bakery industry.
The office in Mexico City was changed several times due to the strong growth in sales. Finally, in 2004 and early 2005 the new building was constructed to unite the existing sales office in Mexico City, the FS plant in Tlanepantla and the office in Guadalajara.
