Danisco acquired the site in Grasse through the Perlarom acquisition in 2002, but the site dates back to 1990 when it was owned by Sima-France. It is located in the industrial park of Bois de Grasse. Danisco Grasse produces sweet and savoury flavours. In addition to production we have an R&D and sales centre. The total area of the site is approximately 17,000 sq meters and there are 94 employees, 49 of whom are directly related to production.Local community & environment
The city of Grasse is known as the world capital of perfume, as historically many of the raw materials for the manufacture of perfume were found in the area.
The city lies on the hillside just behind the cities of Cannes and Nice, a some 15-minute drive from the French Rivera. Another 15-minute drive from the Riviera will take you to the international Nice-Côte d’Azur Airport.
