The Account Manager will have broad based responsibility for generating new sales that are consistent with company profit objectives. This goal should be accomplished by maintaining and growing existing business, initiating new opportunities and by communicating the needs of the territory to the home office.
We are looking for a sales professional with expertise in representing and selling dairy cultures to cheese produces. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of specific industry experience in the cheese/cultures market and serve as the chief architect of the territory with regard to the development and execution of well thought-out marketing and sales plans designed to profitably grow the cultures business.
This position will be located on the West coast and preferably in California.
You are responsible for obtaining new business by identifying customer’s technical service needs and delivering the required help, thereby providing a sales advantage to Danisco. Maintain current accounts by providing superior service and frequent contact to uncover competitive strategies and react accordingly. Develop solid technical knowledge of entire product line to gain customer confidence.
This position will also have the full Danisco portfolio to offer to their customers and this position may also have customers that are Dairy related, but not cheese manufacturers. Degreed with a focus in Food Science or related field
* Experienced in selling functional food ingredients or other experience relative to the food industry (laboratory or research work)
* Able to coordinate a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints.
* Knowledgeable in personal computers.
* An experienced oral and written communicator with the ability to work across all levels of an organization: customer and with Danisco.
* Recognized within the food industry as a solid, professional representative.
