Collaboration with customers
Many customers turn to Danisco Sugar at an early stage of their product development. We have unique knowledge of the way sugar acts in various processes and we have the capacity to develop special products that meet customers’ specific needs. We can take over a part of the processes by adding ingredients to the base products, delivering finished mixtures or adapting the dry substance content in liquid products.
Knowledge and trends
Our joint Nordic development team uses the Danisco Group’s laboratories for process technology, microbiology and ingredients. In addition, we have our own nutrition experts, sensory laboratory and test bakery. A number of clear trends are identified through our development work. For example, there is a growing demand for new sweetening concepts, where sugar is blended with other sweeteners and ingredients. Sugar is also being used more and more in the production of non-food products, including fermentation in the manufacture of pharmaceuticals.
