Genencor offers the Denim industry a new system to create new looks

Genencor has launched a new product line for the Denim Finishing market.

IndiStar™ ColorAdjust System is a new, environmentally friendly way to treat denim garments. 

The IndiStar ™ ColorAdjust System consists of two components:

1. IndiStar™ Active, a laccase enzyme
2. IndiStar™ Control, a denim bleaching mediator chemical

The IndiStar™ ColorAdjust System offers denim processors the possibility to create new looks for denim, whether the fashion demand is for increased contrast look, or highly bleached, worn vintage looks. These Genencor products are also gentle on elastin-incorporated garments.

The IndiStar™ ColorAdjust system allows Textile Chemical Formulators to develop formulations, which can be used for a variety of denim treatment processes to satisfy the demand for these fashion looks.

Environmentally friendly solution

With this new product line, Genencor is extending its product portfolio for denim treatment from the traditional stonewashing cellulase products to offering an environmentally friendly solution for replacement of harsh chemicals such as chlorine and permanganate. This development will help consumers to make sustainable choices in order to protect our environment.
