Sustainability

The demand for nutritious, affordable food continues to grow as we approach a projected global population of 9 billion in 2050. But studies already suggest that more than 30% of all human-induced greenhouse gas emissions relate to the food industry. Further, some 30% of all food is wasted, either in the production or distribution chain or in the household.

At DuPont Nutrition & Health, we believe food ingredients have a vital role to play in creating a more sustainable food industry. Beyond our efforts to reduce impacts from our own operations, we have ambitious goals for reducing impacts throughout the value chain.
