In many broiler production systems, feed is the biggest single cost and profitability depends on the relative cost and nutritive value of the feed ingredients available.
The nutritive value of wheat, barley and triticale can be very variable. Viscosity is one of the main factors contributing to this variability. Therefore measuring the viscosity of the grain can help to assess its feeding quality. Avizyme feed enzymes reduce grain viscosity, improving the nutritive value of these grains.
Avicheck is a unique service which allows broiler feed producers to determine the most economic dose of Avizyme, according to the quality of the grain (wheat, barley or triticale) used in their broiler diets.
Danisco can measure in the laboratory the viscosity of your grain. This value is entered into a pc-based model together with a few feed and economic inputs. The model predicts the broiler performance response to Avizyme and calculates the Avizyme dose level required for maximum profit.
