Report criteria

Text size: A A

Report criteria

The final report must include three documents: An executive summary, concept sheet, and a final report not to exceed 15 pages (excluding references and participant list) with the following specifications:

  • Font: Arial
  • Size: 12
  • Line spacing: 1.5

Title page
Name of product - descriptive and/or creative names are allowed.

Participants
A separate page listing all participants, home addresses, telephone numbers, as well as university/school affiliation. This should be the only place where the team members and universities are mentioned. Please send as a separate page to your final report.

Executive summary
Summarize the highlights of your report. Put emphasis on uniqueness and marketability. This summary is important as the semi-finalist judging forum is based on this portion of your report only and tasting the product.

Concept sheet
This concept sheet will be provided in your communication kits (also available on the download page of this website). This sheet must be filled out in full and sent in with your final report. This concept sheet provides a quick checklist of your entire concept for all the judges.

References
List references as endnotes on a separate page at the end of the report.

Verification Letters need to be included
A faculty sponsor is required to verify the eligibility and originality of the concept by signing the Sponsor Verification Form. The Participants are also required to confirm acceptance and compliance with the contest rules by signing the Student Verification Letter attached to the Sponsor Form. Originality requires that the concept has been kept CONFIDENTIAL and not presented in public.

Prototype
Please include photos of product - preferably digital (800x1200 pixels). Please send as a separate page to your final report.

Report submission (emailed copies only)
Please notice that all entries must be submitted to Danisco no later than Thursday April 22, 2010. Electronic versions (Microsoft Word compatible) of your report are preferred by sending an email copy to rebecca.bingman@danisco.com. If you are unable to email your reports contact Rebecca Bingman for processing procedures.
