This has resulted in increased processing temperatures, in some cases above 90°C (195°F).
Enzymes are heat sensitive and if exposed to high temperatures will become inactivated. Under these circumstances liquid enzymes should be applied post pelleting.
In response to customer demand, we have developed a highly flexible liquid dosing system, Finndose™, suitable for the application of liquid enzymes and liquid betaine.
Key aspects of Finndose design:
- Ease of installation in the majority of post pelleting application systems
- A versatile and accurate way of applying liquid products to batch, continuous and semi-continuous systems
- Employs a precision dosing pump and flow meter for optimum dosing accuracy
- Enclosed system to ensure that the hygienic integrity of the product will be maintained
- All components are sourced from internationally recognised manufacturers ensuring high quality, accuracy and reliability
- Versatile to meet the majority of customer needs
Liquid Avizyme®, Porzyme®, Grindazym™ and Phyzyme® XP
The Finndose system can be used for the post-pelleting application of liquid Avizyme, Porzyme, Grindazym and Phyzyme XP.
For conditioning and pelleting temperatures:
- >95°C (203°F) apply the appropriate liquid Phyzyme XP product
- >85°C (185°F) apply the appropriate liquid Avizyme or Porzyme product
- >80°C (175°F) apply the appropriate liquid Grindazym product
Liquid Betafin®
The Finndose system can be used for the application of liquid Betafin. As liquid Betafin is heat stable it may be applied into the mixer before pelleting.
Danisco Animal Nutrition's team of application engineers offer expert advice on the best type of liquid dosing system to use, according to the feed mill process and customer specification.
