Danisco A/S signs agreement to acquire Agtech Products Inc – investing in microbial-based products for animal nutritionDanisco A/S has signed an agreement to acquire Agtech Products Inc, a US based agricultural biotechnology company dedicated to the development, manufacture and technical application of microbiological-based products for the animal production industry. This acquisition broadens Danisco’s portfolio and technical service capabilities in the animal production industry. This represents an important step in strengthening Danisco’s strategy of delivering healthy nutrition solutions to the global animal production industry. Adding proven new microbial technologies to Danisco’s existing market-leading portfolio of feed enzymes and betaine will underpin this healthy nutrition strategy. The acquisition includes a dedicated team of specialists in R&D, technical services, sales and marketing all focused on a proven existing product portfolio and a robust new product pipeline backed by strong intellectual property.
